"Has anyone ever told you...?"

"Has anyone ever told you that you look like someone famous?"

I've seriously been getting that all the time lately.  Apparently my celebrity look alike is none other than Anna Kendrick herself.  It all started about a year & a half ago, when an award show was on tv at my friend's house.  Her daughter saw Anna Kendrick walk up on stage & then said, "Look Mom! Sarah's on tv!".

^Don't get confused folks, I'm Sarah on the left & Anna is on the right.

It only keeps going from there.  Last semester at school, I had some girls in my class ask me if I knew I looked like Anna Kendrick.  Also, at Infant Crisis Services this semester, I had some of the volunteers tell me I looked like her as well.

My personal favorite story though is one evening, Andrew & I went to 7-11 because he needed to go to the ATM.  I decided to stay in the car because he wouldn't be long & it was cold outside.  As I waited patiently, a guy walked out with his "Big Gulp" & caught a glimpse at me.  He then looked again & started staring.  Side note, honestly, I was a little freaked out at this point & held on tight to my pepper spray in case he tried to come after me (haha).  Around the same time, Andrew walked out of 7-11, seeing this guy looking at me.  Andrew started walking to the truck, thinking that this guy would soon realize that he was with me, & then the guy said something to Andrew that I'll never forget..

"Hey! Is she famous?!"

Andrew quickly replied with a "Uhhh.."

"I know she's off a movie! I think it's Pitch Perfect!"

As the conversation came to a close, Andrew & I assured the guy that I was not Anna Kendrick, but did appreciate the compliment that I looked like someone famous.

My final & most recent look alike story was the other day at work when I was helping a customer.  As I was ringing him out with all his pool supplies, he looked at me & said, "Has anyone ever told you that you look like Anna Kendrick?"

I quickly replied, "Actually, I have been told that before."

Who is your celebrity look alike?  Has anyone ever told you that you look like someone famous?

8 Reasons Why All 90s Girls Wanted to be a Twin

The 90s were a glorious time to be a kid.  Growing up in a world full of Beanie Babies, Full House, & jelly sandals was the best.  But remember the twins of the 90s?.. Mainly the Olsen & the Mowry twins (but let's not forget how Lindsay Lohan threw us off in The Parent Trap).  As a kid, I not only wanted a sibling (only child problems), but I wanted a twin.

Here's 8 reasons why all 90s girls wanted to be a twin.

1. Fooling your parents.
Alright Mom & Dad, let's see if you love us enough to recognize us when we switch clothes.

2. Taking each other's tests.
Let's be real, your twin would clearly be smarter in the areas that you lack in. You don't understand biology? It's ok, your twin does, she can take the test for you.

3. Matching.. ALL. THE. TIME.
Instead of having to call your BFF up & ask her what she's wearing to school tomorrow so you can match, you & your twin can just decide together in the comfort of your own home.

4. Pushing your beds together.
As a 90s gal, who didn't want to push your beds together with your BFF?  How much better would it have been to have a twin to push your beds together with & share a room?!

5. Living with your BFF.
I mean, how cool would it have been to live with your twin-best friend & hang out 24/7.  Yeah, it would get annoying after a while, but you both would love each other anyways.

6. Saying the same thing at the exact same time.
Life doesn't get much cooler when you & your twin say something at the exact same time.  It's like you have a twin telepathy thing going on.  Pretty cool, huh?

7. Liking the same weird things.
Just like on The Parent Trap when Lindsay Lohan (& Lindsay Lohan) liked Oreo's & peanut butter, you & your twin could share those weird things or habits together.  It's pretty precious, really.

8. Becoming famous because you're a twin & having dolls made after you.
How cool would it be to have your own set of dolls made after you because you're a famous twin?!

As a 90s girl, did you want to be a twin too??

7 Things That Make Me Feel Wonderful

Life is busy.  I feel like lately I've been running at 100 mph.  I'm constantly going somewhere, having to run an errand (or 20), or doing something semi-productive for school or home.  Seriously, I should probably slow down sometime soon.  There are little things in life though, that make me slow down, breathe, & realize it will all be okay.  These little things make me feel wonderful.  As humans, we make things a bigger deal than they actually are.  It makes me think of the Bible verse from Matthew 6:34 that says, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

So, here are some of the things that make me feel wonderful even in this busy life.

1. Getting a pedicure.
Anyone who knows me knows that getting a pedicure is the one thing I get like clockwork every month.  It's the one hour out of the month where I take a little time for myself & just relax.  It's probably the most calming thing I do.  It feels amazing & most of the time, I like to just close my eyes & live it up.  Seriously, pedicures are awesome.

2. Taking off my makeup & putting on my pajamas before 9:00 pm.
On Monday nights, Andrew usually goes & plays basketball with some of the guys.  I typically use that night to do something productive like do homework or fold laundry (or sometimes I do something unproductive like watch Netflix).  But, there's nothing better than right after he leaves, going & taking off my make up & putting my pajamas on.  It's an even better feeling when it's before 9:00 pm (I don't know why, but it just is).  Knowing that you've wiped away your makeup that you've had on since 8 that morning & finally get to change into something more comfortable is a relaxing feeling.

3. Sleeping in... but not for too long.
I love sleeping in so much.  It's just one of those things in life that makes you feel like you've finally caught up on something.  But, I hate when I sleep in too long where I've wasted my entire morning.  When I do things in the morning, it makes me feel productive.  If I've slept in too long where the majority of my morning is gone, it makes me feel like a little bit of a failure.  Also, I think there's a thing of sleeping in too long where you get even more tired than you were originally (that's not scientific or anything, just my personal opinion).

4. Wearing my Dad's old t-shirts.
My Dad & I were super close.  After he passed away, I had a pretty rough time.  When my Mom went through all of his stuff eventually, she let me pick out what t-shirts of his I wanted.  Of course they are a lot bigger than me, but I love to sleep in his old t-shirts.  Part of me is convinced that I still smell him on them which makes me feel wonderful.. Kind of a sense of closeness to him.

5. Talking to a hilarious kid.
Children are basically my favorite.  I think they're probably the coolest population of people on the planet.  For that reason, I love talking to kids.  I especially love it when they're at that age where they say practically everything they think.  Basically, they say the things that adults are thinking (or the truth) & it's usually pretty hilarious (e.g., "Why is she being so moody? or "Your hair looks funny.")

6. Going to Target.
Target is definitely my happy place.  I could spend hours in there.  I don't even know why.  Target just makes me feel wonderful.  That's all.

7. Driving around with my husband.
Andrew & I do this thing known as "cruising" as he likes to call it, that other people probably think is kind of weird but we love it.  We just drive around the metro, talk, & enjoy the view.  It's usually the time where we have some of the deepest, best talks ever.  We talk about our future, serious topics, or things we love about each other.  It's always the greatest time.

In the craziness of life, those are the 7 things that make me feel wonderful.

What are some things that make you feel wonderful?

Life Lately

I feel like 2015 is flying by. So much exciting stuff is about to happen.. Mainly, me graduating. But I'm looking forward to a lot of other things such as our first anniversary, a vacation, & much more! This is always such an eventful & exciting time of the year. I figured I'd give you all a little update on life lately.

^ I became semi Instagram famous for a split second because of this picture

^ Celebrated the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ on Easter (Hallelujah, we serve a living God!)

^ Basically fell in love with all of the spring blooms this year (even though my allergies did not)

^ Andrew surprised me with Thunder tickets one evening

^ We lost terribly, but hey, we had a good time!

^ On my last day at Infant Crisis, one of the other volunteers went to lunch & got me a piece of strawberry cake from Deep Fork Grill! It was really good! Thanks, Jennifer!

^ This is my best friend's dog, Emmitt. One day at LTP, we were trying to get him to put his paws on the counter to make it look like he was helping customers.. Well, he decided to jump in my lap instead. As you can tell, it threw me off guard a little haha.

^ Andrew & I went to Edmond to hang out with some of his college friends one evening & we walked over to a park.. So naturally, I started swinging.

^ & then that night we all went to Sonic to get half-priced shakes (P.S. Don't get the cookie-dough milkshake, it tastes like sun tan lotion)

^ I asked Andrew to take me to Infant Crisis one evening so I could get some pics for my capstone project. This is literally one of my most favorite places in the entire world.

^ & then that same evening, we somehow made our way to the State Capitol

^ Selfie at the Capitol (not sure where I'm looking)

^ So, graduation is feeling even more real. I ordered & sent out all my graduation announcements. Yay!

^ Danielle & I went to Child Abuse Prevention Day on April 14th at the State Capitol. It was also her birthday that day (even though we did homework the rest of the day so it wasn't too exciting for her I'm sure). I will say though, I'm very blessed to have made such a good friend like her in college.. I don't know how I would have gotten through these past few years without her help!

^ Currently my favorite picture of us. Andrew & I went on our last month-iversary date since next month we will be celebrating our first anniversary.. LIKE, HOW HAS IT ALREADY BEEN ALMOST A YEAR?! Time flies when you're having fun.

^ On our way home, we came across a beautiful Oklahoma sunset. I love my home state!

^ We went to a wedding on Saturday night at the Skirvin Hotel for an almost-relative, Jessica & her new husband, Justin. We got to see one of our favorite girls, Kaylen (aka, my cousin's daughter).

^ Kaylen asked Andrew to do the Cha-Cha Slide with her. Clearly you can see Andrew "busting a move" out there.. He's cha-cha-ing real slow.

^ May have been a little obsessed with the bathroom at the Skirvin.. Had to take a bathroom selfie.

^ Downtown is pretty at night

^ Our last selfie for the evening

Life lately has been hectic, but a whole lot of fun. Can't wait for what's ahead!

What have you been up to lately? Anything exciting??
