In Chicago, Part III

Happy June everyone! If you missed my 'In Chicago Part I' or 'Part II' posts, you should definitely check them out... BECAUSE this is my final Chicago post! Our last two days in Chicago were absolutely beautiful. It finally started to warm up & we were able to go to Lincoln Park one day, & to another beach on our last day. When we made our way over to Lincoln Park, we also made a detour by U.S. Cellular Field where the White Sox play, Chinatown, & then all the way up to Wrigley Field where the Cubs play.

Since we kind of needed to go all over the place that day, we decided to get our car out & drive to all of those places. It was nice for a change to be in a car & not have to walk everywhere (although we did walk a lot in Lincoln Park).

While at Lincoln Park, we also went to the Lincoln Park Zoo which is one of the only free zoos left in the United States. I mean, clearly the zoo is free & it's also one of the oldest zoos in the United States, so don't expect too much out of it. I definitely wasn't over impressed with it, but I had to keep in mind that for a free zoo, it was pretty good. It would definitely be a must if you brought kids to ChiTown for vacation.

After the zoo, we walked around Lincoln Park & took some great pictures. Lincoln Park is similar to Millennium Park in the fact that it's so full of life. People were just hanging out, relaxing, & even playing music. It was a really cool experience. Lincoln Park also has a spectacular view of the Chicago skyline. There was an adorable family taking pictures on one of the bridges we were on with the city in the background.. I'm sure their pictures will turn out amazing.

^^I thought this picture was cool!

On our last day in Chicago, I was eager to go back to another beach. We made our way over to the larger beach & it was fantastic. Going to the beach was definitely my favorite part of Chicago. Lake Michigan is surprisingly super clear & a pretty blue. I feel like a picture doesn't even capture how beautiful it is. I was so in love with the beach being right in the city, that I was sad to go home to Oklahoma because we don't have that luxury here. Even though we have a ton of lakes, it's NOTHING like Lake Michigan & the fact that the city is right there is just really awesome.

^^I agree!

^^My sweet husband wrote this in the sand :)

Chicago, we absolutely loved you! Thank you for the beautiful & lovely memories!
