5 Books I Want to Read

I'm really wanting to become a reader. Honestly, I don't know why. Maybe I think that reading looks "cool." Or maybe I just want to grow in my intelligence. Nonetheless, I want to be a reader. I keep telling myself that I'm going to be a reader

I LOVE reading blogs, but it seems like reading a book is often a struggle. I have a hard time staying awake while reading a book. I have a hard time actually finishing a book. I did though, finish a book the other day. I was quite proud of myself for accomplishing that "difficult" task.

So here's a list of 5 books that I want to read...

Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple

I've heard that this book is absolutely hilarious & relatable. It has also been named as one of the best books of the year. I'm interested to see if I can actually agree with all of those claims.

This book has literally been all over social media & the internet. I've seen a lot of blogs with book reading groups who have posted that this book is great. It's a part of a series, so if I like it, I'll definitely have to read the rest of them.

A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks

I'm such a girl. Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite authors. His writing just makes you feel what the person in the story is feeling. I'm currently reading The Longest Ride by him & just finished The Wedding which is a follow-up story from The Notebook. By reading the plot line of this book, it just sounds like a good one.

The Whole Brain Child by Daniel J. Siegel M.D.

My child development nerd is coming out of me on this one. I love learning about the brain, especially in children. I love to learn how the brain works & what the best strategies are to help nurture the brain in children. Basically, this book is right up my nerdy alley. If you're a parent or work with children though, you may enjoy this book as well.

You and Me Forever by Francis Chan & Lisa Chan

I've heard that this book is a really good one for married Christians to read. I've always liked Francis Chan-- especially his book Crazy Love. I'm interested to see what he & his wife have to say about seeing marriage in light of eternity.

Those are the 5 books I want to read! What's on your reading list? Have you read any of these books? If so, are the good??
