5 Ways to Kick-Start Your Monday

After this long holiday weekend, I was not looking forward to getting back into the swing of things on Monday. Mondays just always seem to be "one of those days." You're running late, spill something on your shirt, or do something silly at the coffee shop like knock their tip jar over (me this morning). 

Here's some things I've found to help kick-start my Mondays...

1. Eat breakfast
I truly believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It gives you more energy than you would normally have if you didn't eat breakfast. 

2. Listen to an energetic song
When you listen to an energetic song (that you like), it helps wake you up because you want to tap your feet/dance/sing along. That way, you get yourself moving on a slow-going day. 

3. Get some caffeine in ya
Caffeine is good for the soul. Especially when it comes to coffee. Now I'm not saying you should drink an energy drink or a bunch of soda, but something that's caffeinated & will give you a little kick in your step. Caffeine will help boost your Monday. 

4. Wear clothes that aren't super comfy 
When you wear something that makes you feel like you're still in your pajamas, it makes you want to crawl under your desk & fall asleep. On Mondays, dress to impress so that you won't fall asleep. 

5. Do your hair & put makeup on 
When I wear makeup, it makes me feel more alert. That's the main reason I wear it really. It gives me more energy & having my hair fixed makes me look like I didn't just roll out of bed.
