Let Freedom Ring!

I love the 4th of July. It's one of my favorite holidays. It's the one day of the year that most people get all decked out to celebrate the great nation that we live in. Clearly there are things I don't like or agree with, but I am so grateful to live here.

Here's a few things I love about Independence Day!

1. We are celebrating our freedom-- I thank God that we are still living here freely (even if just for now).

2. People are dressed all patriotic. I love red, white & blue!

3. Fireworks are beautiful.

4. It's the one day of year that it's totally socially-acceptable to listen to Katy Perry's "Firework" song non-stop.

5. It's also probably the one day out of the year that we pull out our lawn chairs-- so that's good.

6. Singing patriotic songs makes me feel even more "proud to be an American." (Get it?!)

7. I always get to spend time with my sweet friends, celebrating the independence of our great nation.

8. And finally, thank you to all of the selfless men & women who serve or have served our country, continuously fighting for our freedom.

I hope you all have a fabulous Fourth of July & a great rest of your weekend! :)
What are your plans for today?
